1. Top-Performing Formats
Different placements work best for different goals. Here is what we see working best:
The Floating Widget (All-Time #1):
Why it works: It attaches to the corner of the screen and stays visible as the customer scrolls. It is the highest-performing format across all our clients.
Best for: Sitewide offers, welcome videos, and general engagement.
The Carousel:
Why it works: It allows customers to swipe through multiple videos (like reviews or tutorials) and see text descriptions for each.
Best for: Homepages and Landing Pages.
Stories (Product Page):
Why it works: Mimics the familiar "Instagram Story" bubbles.
Best for: Displaying User Generated Content (UGC) or Founder stories directly on the product page to build trust.
2. Content Optimization (The "Must-Haves")
To make your videos perform, you need to grab attention before the click.
Use "Sync Text":
Always add text below your video thumbnail (in the Journey settings). Use big, bold text to explain what the video is about.
Create Scarcity:
Use the text area to highlight limited-time deals (e.g., "Offer Ends Soon").
Leverage Founder/UGC Videos:
Videos featuring a real person (founder or customer) explaining the product connect much better than polished commercial ads.

Button Action: "Add to Cart"
Recommendation: We strongly advise setting your button action to Add to Cart.
Result: We have seen cases where the Average Order Value (AOV) increased significantly because users could add multiple products to their cart without leaving the video experience.
Auto-Order Scenes:
What it is: A smart feature that automatically re-shuffles your videos based on performance.
Why use it: The app will automatically move the videos with the most clicks to the front of the line, optimizing your widget without you lifting a finger.
4. Advanced Strategy: Deep Linking from Ads
You can redirect traffic from your Facebook, Instagram, or Google Ads so that a specific video opens automatically when the customer lands on your site.
How to do it:
Go to your Scenes list in the ReelTok dashboard.
Copy the specific Scene Parameter (link).
Add this parameter to the end of your landing page URL in your Ad Manager.
Result: When a user clicks your ad, they land on your site and the relevant video immediately pops open to engage them.
5. Design & Aesthetic Tips
Widget Size: We recommend a size between 200px – 218px for the best balance of visibility and aesthetics.
Windowed Mode: Try enabling "Windowed Mode" if you want the video to open in a neat corner box rather than taking up the full screen.
Text Colors: Match your theme. If you have a dark site, use white text. If you have a light site, use black text.
