Managing Impression Limits & Avoiding Overage Charges
Learn how to control what happens when your video views exceed your monthly plan limit.
Understanding the Limit
Every ReelTok plan comes with a set number of "Impressions" (views) per month (e.g., 30,000 on Starter, 100,000 on Growth).
But what happens when you hit that number? You have two options, controlled by a specific setting in your Journey.
The "Turn Off" Setting
Inside every Journey's Customize tab, there is a checkbox labeled: "Turn off when impression limit is reached".
This checkbox determines your billing behavior:
Option 1: Checkbox ENABLED (Recommended for Budget Control)
What happens: Once your monthly limit is reached, this specific Journey will automatically stop showing on your store.
Cost: You will NOT be charged any extra fees.
Result: Your widget stays hidden until your limit resets on the 1st of the next month (or until you upgrade your plan).
Option 2: Checkbox DISABLED (Recommended for Sales Continuity)
What happens: Your video will continue to show to customers even after you pass your limit.
Cost: You will be charged an "Overage Fee" for every additional 1,000 impressions.
Starter Plan Overage: ~$5 per 1,000 impressions.
Growth Plan Overage: ~$4 per 1,000 impressions.
Result: You never miss a sale, but your monthly bill will be higher than the base subscription price.
